Interrupted Renders

I pressed the render button, and Daz Studio just crashed on me while uploading to Boost for Daz? What should I do? Is my render process terminated?

If Daz Studio crashes on your local machine while uploading a render package, your upload will be terminated.

However, your Iray server machine on Boost for Daz (that you selected from the Catalog and connected to prior to hitting the Render button) is still active.

Whatever portion of your render package was uploaded before the crash (and termination of upload) is temporarily stored in a cache on that Iray server machine on Boost for Daz. We recommend that you do the following to complete your render:

  • Restart Daz Studio.

  • Within Daz Studio, go to the ā€˜render settings’ tab and reconnect to the same Iray server on Boost for Daz using the same credentials on your Boost for Daz Dashboard).

  • Hit the Connect button

  • Press the Render button again.

Daz will rebuild the render package and begin the upload process to the Iray server machine still active on Boost for Daz. But because of the intelligent caching on Boost for Daz, the portion of the render package that did get uploaded is still there in the intelligent cache so the render will pick up from where it left off.
